Saquish (Plymouth) Snowy Owl

Wayne Petersen, Taber Allison, and I saw this very handsome Snowy Owl out on a house on Saquish.
I was lucky enough to get a few shots.

This was a tough digiscoping shot due to the heat waves and the back lighting.
We got around to the other side of the house, and the owl stayed put.

Better lighting anyway, and a recognizable image without shooting through the scope. With the scope ...

Well, I said it was a handsome bird! As far as we could tell, this bird was not color-marked.

A bit later we saw the owl again on another roof, and I managed to get this shot including the half moon.
